A public awareness campaign developed within the framework of the KRYTSIA – Support for the Recovery of Kryvyi Rih Raion project has received a major distinction at the 2026 edition of THE VERY BEST OF, one of Ukraine’s leading competitions in creativity, advertising, and design. The Watch Me Go! campaign was awarded a Gold Award, the highest recognition in its category. Beyond its creative achievement, this award highlights an initiative that addresses a critical issue for Ukrainian communities: supporting young children's development and well-being.

Supporting early childhood development

In Ukraine, the number of children with special educational needs has more than doubled over the past five years according to Ukraine’s Ministry of Education and Science. Yet many families identify developmental delays only at a later stage, limiting opportunities for early intervention.

To address this challenge, the Watch Me Go! campaign provides parents and educators with simple, accessible tools to monitor children's development from birth.

At the heart of the initiative is a practical guide offering age-specific developmental milestones, warning signs to look out for, and practical advice to support children's growth. The campaign is complemented by an interactive chatbot, as well as educational resources designed for teachers and early childhood professionals.

A concrete example of the KRYTSIA project’s approach

Implemented in the Kryvyi Rih Raion, the KRYTSIA project aims to support the recovery and resilience of communities affected by the war. To do this, it is strengthening education, vocational training, access to employment, the prevention of risks linked to mines and other explosive devices, and energy security. The project places strong emphasis on human development.

The Watch Me Go! campaign exemplifies this approach by strengthening the capacity of families, healthcare providers, and the education system to support children during their earliest years. By promoting the early identification of developmental challenges and facilitating access to appropriate support services, the campaign helps improve children's future prospects while fostering stronger and more resilient communities.

This recognition demonstrates how effective communication can contribute to the success of development initiatives. By making complex information accessible and encouraging greater engagement from families, Watch Me Go! transforms an important public health issue into meaningful action that benefits children and their communities.
